Cadence Design Systems plans to build a new European R&D facility in Cork and are currently hiring
The company says the engineering positions will facilitate design advancement in emerging consumer computing as well as 5G communications, automotive, aerospace, industrial, mobile and healthcare applications.
Cadence have been operating in Ireland since 1997 and says the new R&D centre reflects their continued commitment to expand its presence in Ireland.
The company say they want to draw from Cork's engineering and computer science talent pool and say their proximity to UCC, CIT and The Tyndall Institute is a major positive.
