Cork's newest hotel has opened its doors to the public this week which it's expected will bring a significant boost to the local economy.
120 new jobs have been created at the hotel which has 114 bedrooms, a state-of-the-art leisure centre and Sophie's - the new 6th floor rooftop restaurant with panoramic views of the city.
Management at the hotel say they expect a very busy 2021 and say they're already heavily booked for Christmas.
Speaking to RedFM News Head of Sales at the Dean Colette Walsh say the hotel will provide a great boost for the city, "It's been fantastic to think that a hotel opened during a global pandemic. First and foremost the work that was created for the construction company, the architects, the interior designers, the painters, fitters, the artists from Cork and Munster that have supplied over 400 paintings in the hotel," she said. "And then of course, over 120 staff that have been recruited so it's been a really good news story, which would be welcome at any time but in particular for 2020."
