A vigil for a 31-year-old Cork woman who was murdered earlier this month was held in the city last night.
Paula Canty was found dead at her home in Mallow on Friday the 3rd of January with stab wounds to the chest.
42-year-old Joseph Butler of The Belfry, Bridewell Lane in Mallow has since been charged with murdering the mother of two at the same address.
Speaking to the Neil Prendeville Show at the vigil on Patrick Street last night, Paula's sister Donna and mother Sinead says the family are still in shock:
"She was a bubbly person, and she would always make you laugh and she was a nice person to be around."
"We're all still in shock, I haven't really accepted it. I mean we're talking about it but it still hasn't hit home."
