A vigil will be held in Cork tomorrow in memory of the murdered British trans teenager, Brianna Ghey.
The 16-year-old from Warrington, in Cheshire was stabbed to death in a local park last Saturday afternoon.
Two teenagers, both aged 15 have been charged with her murder.
Tomorrow's vigil in Daunt Square in the City begins at half past 12 in the afternoon.
Speaking to RedFM News, co-founder of Trans+ Pride - the group organising tomorrow's vigil - Saoirse Mackin says that there will also be speakers and music at the vigil:
"Anyone who's either LGBT+ or an ally of the community is welcome to attend. So it's open to pretty much anyone. If they want they're welcome to bring candles, or pride flags, or whatever they feel is appropriate. If they want to bring a poster and anything like that, whatever they feel can help to create a safe space for people to come together as a community, have that support around them in a safe space, but also to remember and all of the other trans people who lost their lives to transphobia over the last few years".
