Water restrictions will continue in parts of West and North Cork tonight between 11pm -7am according to the national water utility.
Low water levels on the Ballinatona Water Supply Scheme at Meelin, Barracurra, Taur and Kilbrin sees the Newmarket area of North Cork affected.
While parts of Clonakilty in West Cork - specifically the entire Clonakilty Urban Network and Foxhall Network - are also impacted.
Currently the majority of areas in West Cork are under water supply pressure.
In a statement to RedFM News, Irish Water says the night restrictions will remain in place in some parts of the county until furter notice.
They are warning that, depending on water levels in reservoirs, the restrictions may be kept in place over the weekend.
Irish Water says this is due to the significant increase in demand during the recent hot weather, combined with a decrease in rainfall at the same time.
They hope the restrictions will let water levels at the reservoir replenish; otherwise daytime water restrictions to homes and businesses may become necessary.
