The weather is finally easing this morning as Storm Bert leaves the country.
The storm lashed the country over the weekend, which led to flooding along western coastal counties.
Fermoy and Mallow had heavy flooding over the weekend when the river Blackwater burst its banks.
Meanwhile the Lee road is flooded and there could still be localised flooding and debris on the roads across the county.
Alan O'Reilly from Carlow Weather has the outlook for the coming week:
"Some good sunny spells but cooler today and tomorrow and Wednesday, with the best of the sunshine tomorrow and Wednesday. It will become little bit more unsettled later in the week with a risk of some showers for polling day on Friday."
