Gardaí in West Cork say they believe there are people with information about the murder of Sophie Toscan du Plantier who have not yet come forward.
Gardaí held a media briefing in Schull yesterday, almost 26 years after the French TV producer was killed close to her holiday home in Toormore.
Investigating officers say they have identified new witnesses in Ireland, France and the UK who will be interviewed in the future.
They are also appealing to anyone who was in contact with Sophie between 4:30pm on the 22nd of December 1996 and when her body was discovered on the morning of the 23rd to contact them.
Superintendent Joseph Moore said Sophie's family deserve to know what happened to her.
