The winning €6.9 million ticket for Saturday's lottery was won at Murphy's Circle K filling station on Vicars Road in Togher, as revealed on Breakfast with Ray Foley on Cork's RedFM this morning.
There was just one lucky winner when the numbers 5, 8, 19, 40, 41, 44 and 7 rolled out of the draw drum.
The National Lottery have confirmed the winner of the jackpot has come forward.
Speaking on Breakfast with Ray Foley on Cork's RedFM this morning, owner Noel Murphy says he's delighted for whoever won:.
"It's incredible, I'm delighted for whoever won it, especially as I presume it would be local.
"Togher and Ballyphehane is a fabulous area, the people are absolutely fantastic and they've supported us, especially for the last couple of months, but for the last number of years, we're here over 25 years.
"I"m just delighted, and I hope they'll be very very happy, I'm sure they will."
