The Boil Water Notice on the Whitegate Regional Public Water Supply has been lifted with immediate effect.
The notice affected approximately 9-and-a-half-thousand people in Whitegate, Aghada, Churchtown, Ballycotton, Saleen, Shanagarry, Ballinacura and some areas of Cloyne.
The Boil Water Notice had been a precautionary measure following issues at the Water Treatment Plant, due to heavy rainfall.
In a statement to RedFM News, Irish Water and Cork County thanked the public for their patience, co-operation and assistance during this boil water notice, and that they regret any inconvenience caused to homes and businesses in the community.
The lifting follows the completion of remedial measures, and satisfactory water-test results.
