A woman was airlifted to Cork University Hospital last night after being rescued from the water in Mallow last night.
Members of the Mallow Search and Rescue, the Rescue 115 team, Mallow Garda Síochana, and two fire brigades, all assisted in the rescue in the Castlepark area in Mallow.
The female had entered the River Blackwater at Lovers Leap around 7pm and was rescued from water by members of the Mallow Search and Rescue.
She was given first aid and was airlifted to the Cork University Hospital for further treatment by the Irish Coast Guard helicopter Rescue 115.
