A woman has been arrested this morning as part of the investigation into a man's death in the city yesterday morning.
He was found on the Kinsale Road in the early hours of Sunday.
A woman in her 40s was arrested this morning in relation to the investigation into the death of a man - that happened in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The man, in his 40s, was found unresponsive in a premises on the Kinsale Road.
The National Ambulance Service was called and he was taken to Cork University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Gardaí in Togher are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the death, and the woman is currently being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
In a statment to RedFM News, Gardaí say that a post-mortem is expected to take place today "the results of which will determine the course of the investigation".
