A mother of one has been jailed for fifteen months for careless driving causing the death of man on lands at Cork Airport last year
Kseniia Vasylenko from Ukraine was initially charged with dangerous driving causing the death of 49 year old Andrii Nesterov in Lehanaghmore on October 8th The father of three was also a native of Ukraine.
She was later given the option of pleading guilty to a lesser charge of careless driving. The 43 year old admitted that she was careless in her driving causing the death of Mr Nesterov in the car park of Cork Airport Hotel.
Judge Helen Boyle jailed Ms Vasylenko for two years suspending the last nine months of the sense. She also disqualified her from driving for a period of eight years.
