Work has begun on the redevelopment of Moore's Hotel in the city centre.
The planned €30 million project will see the derelict building on Morrison's Quay converted into a 187-bed hotel and office buildings.
Some original, architecturally important features inside the building will be protected and restored.
The redevelopment project is anticipated to be completed by Christmas 2023.
