Yellow weather warning causing concern over further damage in West Cork

Concern is mounting that the forecasted weather conditions will cause further damage in West Cork.

A yellow rainfall warning is in place for Munster and seven other counties until midnight

Many towns in the area were severely damaged by flash flooding last week, which it's estimated has caused millions of euro worth of damage.

Rosscarbery is one of the areas worst affected, as well Dunmanway, Bantry, and many areas in the vicinity of Clonakilty such as Rathbarry.

Speaking to RedFM News General Manager of the Celtic Ross Hotel in Rosscarbery Neil Grant says something needs to be done to prevent a repeat of the damage experienced last week:
