Cork was under a yellow wind warning overnight.
Met Éireann said the warning which was in operation until 6am would see unseasonably strong and gusty winds and very high tides which could lead to fallen trees and power outages, however the ESB are reporting only a small number of outages in the Mitchelstown area.
High tide is expected to hit the city at 8.50am (ten to nine) this morning which could impact low lying streets and quays.
Drivers are advised to watch out for debris on the roads this morning.
