The upgrade of Youghal Lighthouse along with the dredging of Ballycotton Harbour are among 20 projects to get funding under a €6 million scheme.
The Irish Examiner reports that the grants are designed to upgrade and develop Ireland’s publicly owned coastal and marine infrastructure.
Under the scheme €52,000 has been allocated to Youghal Lighthouse for upgrade and improvement works.
The funding, which comes from the Brexit Adjustment Reserve Funds, will also see upgrades to piers in Courtmacsherry and Schull.
