A young Ukrainian woman, who fled Kyiv with her mother and dog has told RedFM News that the welcome they have experience in Ireland helps them to remember that there is still goodness in the world.
Her father has had to stay behind in Ukraine to support the war effort.
Anna Sheliia told RedFM News that how they have been treated in the north Cork town of Buttevant helps them have hope for the future:
"Such help is very important and people feel that this kindness and these kind of great actions, they help you to understand that, despite something very dark in the world, you also find and meet good people and this gives you some hope".
