A Cork based Youth Mentor and Co-ordinator at Cork Migrant Centre says he has experienced racism in Cork.

Raphael Olympio says he has been verbally abused, excluded from events and even chased.

Today's youth led anti racist summit at City Hall aims to break down barriers, drive change and foster inclusivity and make Cork an anti-racist county,

Speaking to RedFM News Raphael says being the victim of a racial abuse can be very isolating and frightening:

"There's been those cases where you just feel very very uncomfortable you either get called various different names, or there's the micro aggressions where even like the likes of how people react or respond to facial expressions, your anxieties heightened and you feel isolated and discriminated against because you're different. You're always questioning people's motives, it is frightening".
