Ten new cases of Coronavirus have been confirmed in Ireland.
These new cases bring the total number in the Republic of Ireland to 34. There are also 16 total cases in Northern Ireland.
Five of these cases in the Republic are associated with travel to affected areas. Three of these cases are males in the south of the country with the others a male and a female in the east of the country.
Three of the new cases are in relation to close contact with an already confirmed case of COVID-19. These cases are a male and female in the west and a female in the south of the country.
The other two cases are healthcare workers. These are one male in the south associated with hospital transmission and one female in the east, possibly due to hospital transmission.
The Department of Health also confirmed that 1,784 people have been tested for Covid-19 in Ireland.
