There have been 30 deaths due to Covid 19 in Cork since September
Figures released by the CSO show that ten of those deaths were in week ending October 8th, with at least one Covid-19 death per week since September 3rd.
The last week there were no Covid deaths in Cork was the week ending August 20th.
Meanwhile there were 35 outbreaks reported in Cork and Kerry for the week ending October 16th.
The Echo report that 16 of those were in work places, with one outbreak identified in a community hospital.
Three of the outbreaks were linked to social gatherings and four were linked to retail outlets.
