349 people are being treated in hospitals across Ireland with Covid-19. It comes as 939 new cases were identified yesterday - while there were a further 724 in Northern Ireland.
The national 14-day incidence rate is now at 309.
The positivity rate in the Republic over the past seven days stands at 6.2 percent - compared with 22 percent in Northern Ireland for those being tested for the disease for the first time.
Professor Anthony Staines says that means far too few people are being tested in the North.
