Two in five workers in Ireland only have enough money to get them to the next payday.
The research has been carried out by Willis Towers Watson with financial concerns having impacts on many people's health and wellbeing.
Over 700 Irish employees took part in the study that was carried out in 27 countries.
David Glennon is Director at Willis Towers Watson - he explains the research was carried out before the Covid-19 pandemic and expects the total to now be higher.
"I would suspect that people would be more worried.
"40% are saying the don't have enough to cover expenses.
"Unfortunately here's a lot more people out of work now, and we would expect that that figure would now be higher."
