91% of the country's 581 nursing homes have now been tested for Covid-19.
The HSE says it also hopes to have the remainder complete in the coming days.
Roughly 80 residential care facilities are currently considered at risk and in need of significant supports.
The HSE's Chief Clinical Officer, Dr Colm Henry says efforts are being made to target them.
"extensive redeployment is happening based on the assessment of need, which is carried out by community response teams which are our managers or doctors, it gives access to specialist care whether it's geriatricians or palliative care specialists.
"It's the means by which we assess their need for PPE, and through which we provide additional education and instruction in helping in prevention control, and public health advice."
