A Cork Couple Are Currently Making The Long Journey To Lima To Get On A Flight Out Of Peru

A flight for Ireland is due to leave the country tomorrow

Andrew Cotter from Mitchelstown and his girlfriend Marie Barry for Conna had been holidaying in Peru and were staying in a hostel in Cusco when the country went into lockdown due to Covid-19.

RedFM News has been highlighting their case over the last week and yesterday they got the welcome news that they will be travelling home to Ireland tomorrow along with over 120 other tourists who were trapped in the country.

Andrew admits that he had been gearing himself up to spend a couple of months in Peru but is now so grateful and relieved to know that he will be going home.

Speaking to RedFM News from Peru Andrew says the situation in Cusco was getting scarier by the day:
