A Cork Creche Owner Says The Irish Childcare Sector Faces A Certain Crisis

That's unless the government steps in

John Bowman of BEL Childcare in Douglas says many creches will fold if the closures announced by the government are extended by any longer than the end of the month.

Taoiseach Leo Vardakar introduced unprecedented measures yesterday in an effort to stem the spread of Covid-19, including the closure of all schools, colleges and most public offices.

Early years educators have already protested outside the Dáil to call for reform of the sector, with many now extremely concerned by the latest developments.

Speaking to RedFM News, John Bowman from BEL Childcare is calling for immediate government action:
