A Cork principal says everything is being done to ensure schools can reopen safely in the coming weeks

Schools across the city and county are due to reopen to students at the end of the month

Schools across the city and county are due to reopen to students at the end of the month after being forced to close last March following the COVID19 outbreak.

Staggered return dates, new school layouts, reduced class sizes and student based class rooms are all part of a raft of changes being introduced in many schools to enable social distancing as well as the introduction of PPE equipment.

Speaking to RedFM News Principal of Coláiste Éamann Rís Aaron Wolfe says it's a mammoth task to get the school ready for reopening but safety is their top priority:
