A Cork TD Is Insisting The Cost Of Re-Opening Schools Fall On Dept Of Education, Not The Parents

A plan to re-open schools is due to be published Monday

Cork South-Central TD and Sinn Fein Education Spokesperson Donnchadh Ó Laoghaire was speaking in reaction to the news that the Government's roadmap to re-opening schools is set to cost over 200 million euro.

Schools have now been shut nationwide for over 4 months due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Taoiseach Micheal Martin has called the plan, which is due to be published on Monday, 'robust and resilient'.

In a statement issued to RedFM News, Donnchadh Ó Laoghaire says parents are already paying enough for their children's education:
