Professor Anthony Staines says this may be needed if the current trend of Covid-19 figures can't be turned around
That's according to a public health expert who was commenting after 164 new cases of the virus were confirmed yesterday
Almost 60 per cent of those cases are in Dublin and 13 per cent located in Kildare, 9 of the new virus cases are in Cork
The National Public Health Emergency Team is meeting today to discuss the latest figures and Kildare's lockdown.
