A West Cork Town Is Poised To Capitalise On A Predicted Increase In 'Staycations'

That's in the face of the Covid-19 emergency

Clonakilty Chamber of Commerce says trade has been hit hard by restrictions introduced to stop the spread of the virus and have announced a €40,000 voucher initiative to drive spending in the town.

The Chamber will contribute an extra €10 or €20 for every €50 or €100 'Clonakilty Voucher' purchased and say the plan will inject around €240,000 into the town.

Speaking to RedFM News, Chairperson of Clonakilty Chamber of Commerce Orla O'Donovan says West Cork has some major advantages when it comes to promoting trade in the area:
