It will come in the form of a once-off fund
Minister of State for Drugs Strategy, Frank Feighan, said 480.000 euro would be made available to the network of 24 drug and alcohol services.
Each one can receive up to 20,000 euro to meet Covid-related costs.
Minister Feighan said the ongoing difficulties faced by the services in light of Covid had led to many additional costs.
