An Air Of Uncertainty Continues To Loom Over Staff At St. Vincent's Centre In The City

It's as they work to provide frontline health care in the Covid-19 pandemic

Catherine Hegarty is an intellectual disability nurse and one of 46 staff at the centre on St. Mary's Road.

She says she and her colleagues have been left in the dark by the HSE, and that mediation between the Health Service and the Sisters of Chairty has all but ceased.

This week marks 3 years since the HSE stepped in to manage St. Vincent's Centre, however staff are yet to receive clarification on incremental pay increases, welfare entitlements or pension contributions.

Speaking to RedFM News, Catherine Hegarty says staff at the centre deserve the same treatment as other frontline health workers:
