An Immunology Expert Says She'd Be 'Astonished' If Irish People Are Being Vaccinated Against Covid-19 In Early 2021

The USA and EU regulatory bodies could approve some candidates as soon as the middle of December

However it's not clear yet how quickly the doses can be manufactured, delivered and administered.

Trinity Professor Cliona O'Farrelly says we should be ready for a few more months of dealing with Covid-19:

'I would be astonished if anybody in Ireland was actually getting vaccinated in early 2021. I might be wrong, who knows, maybe it can all roll out, but I would really be very astonished. So I think we have to be prepared for living with the virus like we're trying to do right now for longer.'
