People will no longer have to sign for packages
An Post is taking measures to deal with the challenges posed by the coronavirus outbreak.
Post offices will open early on Friday - at 8am - to allow older customers collect their social welfare payments.
Those who cannot attend in person can apply to have someone collect the payment on their behalf.
The company says it's determined to maintain services during the crisis.
