Large weddings are unlikely to be seen for a long time according to the Catholic Archbishop of Dublin.
§Under the governments plans to ease restrictions, small weddings will be allowed from July 20th.
However clear guidance on the numbers that should be allowed attend has yet be revealed.
Archbishop Diarmuid Martin says ceremonies have taken place with strict social distancing measures.
"We have had some weddings, they've all been approved by the registrar beforehand.
"It's not everybody's dream of a wedding, where people are so distant.
"And then there's a general anxiety, I think the idea of large weddings are not foreseen for a long long time.
"But that's not talking about the wedding liturgy, it's talking about the celebrations that would occur afterwards."
