A massive community effort is ongoing in North Cork to combat the negative effects of COVID19.
A community response forum was initially set up in the Blarney and Tower area to deliver meals and essential items to those who could not leave their homes.
The demand for the service increased from 10 meals for 50 meals per day.
The response team were also called to assist in practical jobs including walking dogs, cleaning gutters, fixing outside lights and painting one man’s steps to make them safer for him as he found himself housebound.
The team also offered litter pickers to local families who wanted to get out for their 2km exercise and still contribute to keeping their area tidy
