Andrew Cotter from Mitchelstown and his girlfriend Marie, who is from Conna, were given just a few hours notice to leave the county as it went on lockdown due to the Coronavirus
Peru has locked down its borders with most commercial flights grounded.
Yesterday dozens of Irish people in Peru have been told a flight out of the country to London may be available this weekend, but that they'd have to pay 3,000 to 3,500 dollars to get it.
Andrew and Marie have appealed to the Irish Government to get them out of the country and say they're worried about their security
