The additional week will be paid to firms the week after restrictions lift, as they may take some time and face more costs when trying to reopen.
The scheme helps businesses, who as a direct result of Level 3 or higher, have been forced to temporarily close or been significantly impacted in operating.
It will run until the end of March 2021.
