The Restaurants Association of Ireland is calling for social distancing rules to be relaxed.
Nine in ten of it's members say they won't be able to open this month unless the 2 metre rule is changed.
Reports in today's Daily Mail suggest that could be on the cards for the hospitality industry as they prepare to re-open on the 29th.
Chief Executive of the RAI, Adrian Cummins outlines other measures he believes Government should implement.
"The VAT rate must be reduced to 0%, commercial rates written off for at least 12 months, and the continuation of the wage supplement scheme, or at least for it to be tapered out for the next 12 months.
"It would give us a fighting chance to retain employees and get back to work."
