The public are being urged to donate funds to Pieta House after the Darkness Into Light walk in May was cancelled.
Instead they're asked to take part in the 'Darkness Into Light 'Sunrise' appeal on May 9th.
People are asked to get up at 5.30am that day to watch the sunrise and share the moment using the #DIL2020.
Regional Manager of Pieta House, Tom McEvoy says they need the funds to keep the service going during the pandemic.
"It's a crisis appeal - we're calling out to the public to support us and come together and help our organisations Pieta House.
"We've been in existence since 2006 and we've never ever experienced something like this, in terms of the requirement for funding and helping those in the community who are calling our for our support."
