Cancer patients are being offered free expert advice from today in a new six-part webinar series to keep them safe during the pandemic.
The Marie Keating Foundation says it's running the series because cancer patients need to stay as healthy as possible during the crisis.
The foundation's director of nursing, Helen Forristal, says a number of things are causing extra worry for cancer patients.
"They're feeling lonely, they're worrying about parents who they haven't seen for some time and may be elderly.
"There's also a worry for. themselves and their families at times where they do need to leave their homes to go for a hospital appointment, although we are assured that hospitals are very safe places to be."
