Child Abuse Does Not Stop During A Pandemic

That's the stark message from the ISPCC who say the number of children contacting the service has increased since schools were ordered to close almost two weeks ago.

Childline relies on public donations for 90% of its funding, however the charity have been forced to cancel many of their fundraising events, resulting in a projected loss of around €500,000 over the next three months.

Speaking to RedFM News, Chief Executive of the ISPCC John Church says the current crisis means many children are experiencing issues more acutely during the current crisis:
