The Irish Greyhound Board is to raise the matter with the Department of Agriculture to obtain clarification on the overall situation
The Irish Greyhound Board is seeking clarity after it emerged that greyhound racing will not be resuming on the 8th of June as is the case for horse racing
The board's chairman says greyhound racing has proven its ability to run 'racing behind closed doors' and successfully complied with all Covid 19 protocols when operating on a closed doors basis during early March.
In a statement issued to RedFM News Frank Nyhan says the protocols operating during March have been enhanced and physical alterations are being undertaken at their stadia to further facilitate compliance with these enhanced protocols.
The IGB is to raise the matter with the Department of Agriculture to obtain clarification on the overall situation
