Hoteliers warn that thousands more jobs could be lost if current restrictions remain in place

49% room occupancy was recorded in July and August this year, a figure which stood at 90% in 2019.

It's led to calls for increased Government supports, an easing of restrictions on indoor gatherings, and a reduction in VAT rates as well as increased Covid-19 testing.
