Concern has been expressed that people in Cork will opt to use cars instead of using public transport in the wake of the COVID19 outbreak.
Restrictions are in place to facilitate social distancing on buses here in Cork and across the country which limit capacity.
It's feared that will deter people from taking the bus and as a result the city will become a car park unless measures are in put in place to facilitate other means of transport such as cycling and walking.
