Concerns Leaving Cert students living rurally with limited internet further disadvantaged

Leaving Cert students living in rural and isolated areas here in Cork and across the country with limited access to the internet are at a disadvantage to their counterparts in more urban areas.

That's according to a West Cork student who says at the moment Leaving Certs are relying on internet to help them study from home as well as accessing online material being provided by their schools.

It follows yesterday's announcement by the Education Minister that the state exams are expected to get underway on July 29th.

Speaking to RedFM News Skibbereen Leaving Cert student Alicia O'Sullivan says internet speeds and availability are adding to the stress of the situation for some students:
