CONFIRMED: 69 New Cases Of Covid-19 In Ireland In The Past 24 Hours

There have been 69 new cases of Coronavirus confirmed in Ireland in the past 24 hours.

This brings the total amount of cases in the Republic of Ireland to 292.

29 of the cases are male and 40 are female

48 are located with the east of the country, 13 are in the south, 5 are in the north-west, and a further 3 are in the west.

There are still 2 deaths relating to the virus in Ireland.

The Department of Health's Dr Tony Holohan, Chief Medical Officer, said: “Cooperation across the health service has never been more important and I would like to thank our colleagues in their ongoing efforts to help us to prepare for and limit the spread of COVID-19.”

Yesterday the Taoiseach revealed he expects 15,000 cases of the virus in Ireland by the end of March and 100,000 job losses associated with Covid-19.
