This evening The Department of Health confirmed that 8 more people in Ireland have lost their lives due to Coronavirus.
These eight deaths bring the total number of fatalities related to the virus in Ireland to 54. These deaths include five females and three males.
The median age of these eight deaths is 86.
Six of the eight patients who passed away reportedly had underlying health conditions.
The locations of the deaths are:
- Six patients in the east
- One patient in the south
- One patient in the west
There have also been 295 more cases confirmed in Ireland today, bringing the total number of people diagnosed to 2,910.
