Conradh na Gaeilge is calling for support packages for Gaeltacht communities now that the annual summer colleges can't go ahead due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Members of the group are to meet with Minister Sean Kyne, who is in charge of the Irish language portfolio.
They say the collleges are the heartbeat of many communities in the west of Ireland, and their absence this year will be a big financial blow.
Uachtarain is Dr Niall Comer - he says now is an opportunity for the government to act.
"The government now has time to put in place some form of scheme in which the mná tí and the colleges can be compensated in some way for the inevitable loss.
"Some suggestions have been made for example toward the current scheme the government have provided - but again we're not sure that's ideal, can that be done, is that enough to mitigate the loss that will come?"
