Almost 150,000 construction workers could be back in work as early as next month.
Plans by the construction industry to stress test health procedures at sites were discussed at a meeting between government officials, trade unions and employers yesterday.
According to The Irish Examiner, the Construction Industry Federation says there's an understanding building can resume again in May, beginning with social housing sites.
