Consultant In Emergency Medicine Says Most Vulnerable In Society Must Be Prioritised

Dr Chris Luke was speaking after the government pushed back stage four of the roadmap for easing restrictions to August 31st due to a recent spike in cases of Covid-19.

The government has already paused the implementation of stage 4, which allows for the re-opening of all pubs, hotel bars, nightclubs and casinos due to an increase in positive cases.

Restrictions on the amount of people allowed to gather in public will also remain unchanged at 50 for indoor and 200 for outdoor events.

Speaking to RedFM News, Dr Chris Luke says he can understand why the government have delayed the reopening for a second time:
